3. Frozen Gut Health Smoothie Mix – 194 calories per serving

Frozen Gut Health Smoothie Mix featured in Pinch of Nom's Weekly Pinch of Shopping with the calorie count printed above (194 calories per serving).

We love it when we spot a product that’ll save us some time! This Frozen Gut Health Smoothie Mix is ideal for those busy days where you don’t fancy chopping fruits to blend.

Simply stash a bag in the freezer, ready to blitz into a gut-healthy smoothie – or use the chopped peach, mango, oats, chia seeds and yoghurt bites to prep a healthy dessert.

Frozen fruit is always cracking to have in the freezer for one of our sweet treat go-tos: Mango and Raspberry Ice Cream. The unbelievable thing about this recipe is the size of the ingredients list; you’ll only need bananas, frozen mango, frozen raspberries and granulated sweetener.

It truly is slimming-friendly and fresh at 87 calories per bowlful.

Three bowls are filled with colourful servings of Pinch of Nom's Mango and Raspberry Ice Cream. A spoon is in each bowl, waiting to tuck in. The bright-yellow mango scoop rests on top.

Frozen Gut Health Smoothie Mix are available from Aldi, priced at £1.99 per bag.

4. Sainsbury’s Breaded Chicken Steaks – 209 calories per steak

Sainsbury's Breaded Chicken Steaks featured in Pinch of Nom's Weekly Pinch of Shopping with the calorie count printed above (209 calories per steak).

We’re all in favour of breading chicken from scratch, but these Sainsbury’s Breaded Chicken Steaks are great for taking the stress away on busier days.

The breadcrumb coating around the tender chicken breast is mild, so it’ll pair nicely with a variety of different side dishes. You could always keep things simple with potato wedges, peas and gravy!

When we think about crunchy-coated chicken, our mind goes straight to Katsu. This Loaded Katsu Curry Fries pairs crisp chicken strips with fries, tortilla chips and our Katsu-style sauce whipped up from scratch.

A table is set with two plates of Pinch of Nom's slimming-friendly Loaded Fries with Katsu Curry Sauce.

Sainsbury’s Breaded Chicken Steaks are available from Sainsbury’s, priced at £1.69 per pack.

5. Spiced Potato, Chickpea and Mango Salad – 132 calories per 1/2 pot

Spiced Potato, Chickpea and Mango Salad featured in Pinch of Nom's Weekly Pinch of Shopping with the calorie count printed above (132 calories per 1/2 pot).

We really get that summertime feeling when we spot goodies like Spiced Potato, Chickpea and Mango Salad at the shops. The medley of chickpeas, potatoes and onion comes ready-drizzled in a sweet and spicy mango dressing, making it perfect for sunny day picnics and buffets.

Just like Aldi’s potato salad pot, our Chicken and Mango Burgers are sweet, tangy and fiery all at once. By preparing your salsa and burger patties from scratch, you can keep the calories down and control the spice level – be warned, our salsa is definitely on the hotter side!

We found that half of a deseeded red chilli is the perfect, taste bud tingling amount for our salsa bowl.

Chicken and Mango Burgers - Pinch of Nom Slimming Recipes

Spiced Potato, Chickpea and Mango Salad is available from Aldi, priced at £1.89 per pack.

6. LEON Golden Lentil Dhal – 201 calories per pack

LEON Golden Lentil Dhal featured in Pinch of Nom's Weekly Pinch of Shopping with the calorie count printed above (201 calories per pack).

LEON has always been one of our favourite ‘fast’ food options. This LEON Golden Lentil Dhal delivers on speed and flavour, with a pouch of curried chickpeas and lentils that’s ready to enjoy in 90 seconds.

Top your portion with some fresh coriander leaves and a scoop of relish – it makes something that’s already delicious even better.

We’re feeling inspired to reach for the lentils in our cupboard and make a batch of Sweet Potato and Red Lentil Soup that’ll serve us for the week.

Chuck all the ingredients together and let them bubble away, until your sweet potatoes are softened and they’ve released their naturally gorgeous earthiness.

A table is set with two eye-catching bowls of Pinch of Nom's slimming-friendly Sweet Potato and Red Lentil Soup, each bowl is topped with a sprinkling of cracked black pepper.

LEON Golden Lentil Dhal packs are available from Sainsbury’s, priced at £2.50 (or £2.00 with a Nectar card).

7. Morrisons The Best Tuscan Chicken – 228 calories per 1/2 pack

Morrisons The Best Tuscan Chicken featured in Pinch of Nom's Weekly Pinch of Shopping with the calorie count printed above (228 calories per 1/2 pack).

Is it bad that we picked up this Morrisons The Best Tuscan Chicken meal for two because it reminded us of our own recipe? If so, guilty!

The chicken breasts come ready-coated in a tangy, herby, Parmesan crumb – once they’ve crisped up, that’s your cue to drizzle them with the provided sachet of sun-dried tomato sauce. You really can’t argue with how easy that is…

It’s no exaggeration to say that our Tuscan Chicken Macaroni is one of our most-popular recipes EVER. Even though we’ve not scrimped on cheesiness, each portion works out at just 430 calories – not bad at all for a pasta dish!

If you’ve already tried this one, take a look at what to make next if you love Tuscan Chicken Macaroni

Tuscan Chicken Macaroni - Pinch of Nom Slimming Recipes

Morrisons The Best Tuscan Chicken is available from Morrisons, priced at £7.00 for a pack that serves 2.

8. trüfrü Pina Colada Pineapple in White Chocolate & Coconut – 87 calories per 1/7 pack

trüfrü Pina Colada Pineapple in White Chocolate & Coconut featured in Pinch of Nom's Weekly Pinch of Shopping with the calorie count printed above (87 calories per 1/7 pack).

We love how simple yet delicious these cocktail-inspired trüfrü Pina Colada Pineapple in White Chocolate & Coconut bite are. The pineapple chunks are wrapped in not one, but two, layers of silky chocolate.

After all that, they’re finished with a sprinkling of coconut to complete the tipple-like flavours. How fun does that sound for a light snack or dessert?

Speaking of fun, if you’ve not tried our Pina Colada Pancakes yet, you need to change that. They’re served with a sticky-sweet pineapple and lime topping and a dollop of creamy fat-free Greek yoghurt that’s too scrummy to resist.

A table is set for breakfast, with a pot of coffee and a mug nearby. On a white plate with a yellow rim, 3 Piña Colada Pancakes are served, with a topping of pineapples, a slice of lime and a dollop of Greek yoghurt. A knife and fork with bright blue handles are resting on the plate.

trüfrü Pina Colada Pineapple in White Chocolate & Coconut is available from Tesco, priced at £5.95 per bag.

9. Kellogg’s High Protein Bites Chocolate Cereal – 114 calories per serving

Kellogg's High Protein Bites Chocolate Cereal featured in Pinch of Nom's Weekly Pinch of Shopping with the calorie count printed above (114 calories per serving).

While not everyone’s a fan of hazelnut, we absolutely love it! These Kellogg’s High Protein Bites Chocolate Cereal bring a nutty-sweet crunch to the breakfast table.

As well as being fortified with the good vitamins and minerals we all need, they’re also higher in protein (listed as 21% plant-based protein). That means they should leave you feeling fuller for longer than your average cereal!

If you’re looking for a boost in the morning, nothing beats our Raspberry Mocha Granola Pots. As well as a hint of coffee to help you wake up, we’ve swirled in chocolatey yoghurt, juicy raspberries, reduced-fat cream and sticky-sweet maple syrup.

Two glasses of Pinch of Nom's Raspberry Mocha Granola pots are served, topped with a swirl of cream, raspberries and a drizzle Sweet Freedom Choc Shot. Extra granola waits to the side to be sprinkled on top.

Kellogg’s High Protein Bites Chocolate Cereal is available from Sainsbury’s, priced at £3.50 per box (or £2.85 with a Nectar card).

10. Heinz Fish and Chips Sauce – 36 calories per 10g serving

Heinz Fish and Chips Sauce featured in Pinch of Nom's Weekly Pinch of Shopping with the calorie count printed above (36 calories per 10g serving).

It’s no secret that we love playing with chippy-inspired flavours at Pinch of Nom, so we had to pick up Heinz’ brand-new Fish and Chips Sauce. A self-declared rival to tartare sauce, it’s a tantalisingly creamy combo of gherkins, parsley, and dill.

While it’s a no-brainer to serve it with fish, it also takes jacket potatoes, sarnies, wraps or salads to the next level.

If you’re wondering what we’d pair this tangy condiment with, it’s gotta be our Fish and Chip Fishcakes from pages 82-83 of our Air Fryer book. While our recipe includes a homemade tartare sauce, a squeezy bottle can be a life-saver when you’ve not had a chance to whip the dip!

A table is set with a plateful of Pinch of Nom's slimming-friendly Smoked Haddock and Spring Onion Fishcakes, with one fishcake served on a smaller pink plate. A pink fork is cutting into the fishcake, revealing the mashed potato centre. There is a lemon wedge to the side to squeeze on top, and a homemade dip in a small bowl.

Heinz Fish and Chips Sauce is available from Tesco, priced at £3.40 per s queasy bottle.

NEW Aldi Super 6 Fruit and Veg Selection

The fruit and veg selection from Aldi's Super 6, alongside their prices, featured in Pinch of Nom's Weekly Pinch of Shopping.

We love Aldi’s fortnightly selection of fresh fruit and veggies! They choose different items for a special offer where you can pick them up for much less than the normal price.

Here’s a rundown of the recipes we’d make with this week’s Super 6 offering.

Carrots – 41 calories per 100g

A bag of carrots never goes to waste in our kitchen – we’ll always find a tasty place to put them, from pies and stews to salads and even cakes.

Use them to make a bowl of hearty, nutritious goodness that’ll leave you set for the week with our Carrot and Coriander Soup recipe.

A table is set with two colourful bowls of Pinch of Nom's slimming-friendly Carrot and Coriander Soup. Both bowls are topped with air-fried strips of fresh carrot and a garnish of fresh coriander leaves.

Mango – 60 calories per 100g

Packed with magnesium and potassium, mangoes are famously good for digestion. While we wouldn’t recommend eating the skin, you can do so if you want to absorb every last nutrient!

Rain or shine, we’re always in the mood for Chicken and Mango Pickle Curry.

Pinch of Nom's Chicken and Mango Pickle Curry is served in a large round dish with red handles. The curry takes up one half of the dish, and fluffy white basmati rice is on the other side.

Mini Pears – 42 calories per 100g

Sweet, grainy and irresistibly juicy, don’t be fooled by the size of these mini pears. They’re gorgeous raw as a grab-and-go lunch box sized snack, or you can cook them into a variety of sweet recipes, like our comfort-loaded Pear and Ginger Crumble.

Four portions of Pinch of Nom's Pear and Ginger Crumble served in individual ramekin dishes on a yellow tabletop, with a jug of custard to the side waiting to pour over.

Apples – 53 calories per 100g

It’s always a good idea to keep an apple handy! They’re a juicy, crispy snack that’ll give your day a sweet boost for only 53 calories.

If you know us, you’ll know we always use a few slices to top our morning Apple Pie Porridge.

Pinch of Nom's Apple Pie Porridge served in three bowls on a yellow and white striped tabletop, with spoons waiting to dig in. Apple slices and flaked almonds are scattered on top.

Asparagus Tips – 25 calories per 100g

Bursting with nutrients and low in calories, asparagus has a subtle taste and can be cooked in a variety of ways – steam it, grill it or roast it to bring out its nutty notes.

Asparagus adds a gorgeous pop of green to our Creamy Garlic Prawns when we lay on a tapas-inspired spread.

Pinch of Nom's Creamy Garlic Prawns are served in a skillet while a large serving spoon scoops up a creamy portion.

Bananas – 89 calories per 100g

We’ve got no choice! We’ll have to use the Super 6 to stock up on bananas and make a stash of Banana and Peanut Muffins.

They’re pure snack-time heaven at only 53 calories per muffin.

Pinch of Nom's Banana and Peanut Muffins are served on a wire rack looking fluffy and golden – a cupcake case is empty where one has already been eaten!

There’s no better hack for slow cooker meal prep than dump bags! We’ve packed this ‘how to’ guide with our top tips and some seriously tasty recipe inspiration to help you get started.

Our upcoming cookbook, Pinch of Nom: Slow Cooker, is the best place to find our newest freezer-friendly, dump bag recipe ideas. Tap here or the image below to pre-order your copy ready for September 25th.

This post contains affiliate links. Find out what this means.

What is a dump bag?

A ‘dump bag’ is a freezer bag filled with uncooked ingredients, chopped and ready to throw into the slow cooker for a particular dinner. They are basically the ultimate time-saver when it comes to slow cooker meal prep!

A dump bag for Slow Cooker Sausage Casserole being emptied into a cream-coloured Swan slow cooker.

Why are dump bags handy for slow cooker meal prep?

If you’re using your slow cooker regularly, it’s a good idea to use dump bags. With most of the ingredients from your favourite dish already chopped and ready to go, you’ll save yourself so much time and stress – especially on busier days!

They’ll keep nicely in the freezer for up to 3 months, so you can build up a solid stash of nutritious, slimming-friendly meals to choose from.

Portion out your ingredients and then store them away until you’re ready to get dinner on.

A dump bag has been labelled with the recipe name 'Slow Cooker Sausage Casserole' and the date it's being frozen.

How do I know which ingredients can go in a dump bag?

The more you make dump bags, the more you’ll get an idea of what’s suitable to store. Some high-water ingredients, like peppers, dairy or fresh herbs, are best added during the cooking time.

When we remove the dump bag for our Slow Cooker Chunky Tomato Cajun-Style Soup from the freezer, we let it defrost thoroughly before adding it to the slow cooker.

Then we’ll add the courgette and hot stock, following the recipe method from step 3 onwards.

A table is set with two hearty bowls of Pinch of Nom's slimming-friendly Slow Cooker Chunky Tomato Cajun-Style Soup in bright yellow bowls, a crusty wholemeal bread roll waits to one side for mopping up every last drop.

While you can add stock to bags to freeze once cooled down, we prefer to add stock when we’re ready to get cooking.

For example, if we’re making Slow Cooker Sausage Casserole, we’ll add all of the ingredients mentioned in steps 1-2 of the recipe to the dump bag.

When it’s time to cook, the beef stock pot and water will then be stirred into the pot.

A large dish is filled with Pinch of Nom's slimming-friendly Sausage Casserole, waiting to be ladled onto plates.

Tip 1: Use heavy-duty freezer bags

It’s really, really important to use heavy-duty freezer bags when you’re preparing slow cooker dump bags. Not only will they prevent freezer burn, they’ll also keep your ingredients sealed tightly and avoid any leakage.

A dump bag being carefully filled with slow cooker friendly ingredients for Slow Cooker Sausage Casserole.

We’d recommend investing in a trusty stash of reusable freezer bags that you can count on time and time again.

Adding ingredients to a bag can be fiddly, that’s why having a bag holder is a game-changer. This set from Amazon is really reliable for less than a tenner.

Tip 2: Buy in bulk to get the most from your dump bags

If you’re going to be filling your freezer with slow cooker dump bag meals, you’ll need to buy plenty of ingredients.

The good news is, it’s often cost-effective to buy more expensive food items (like meat or fresh produce) in bulk.

With everything you’re planning to eat chopped and ready to throw into the pot for a pre-picked recipe, the food you’ve bought will last longer.

You’ll need a good set of kitchen knives to slice and dice safely.

If you end up buying a cheaper cut of pork for our Slow Cooker Spicy Pork Stew, just be sure to cut off any visible fat while you’re dicing.

By investing in a larger joint of meat, you’ll have enough to prep dump bags for an alternative pork recipe, so you can mix up your midweek menu.

2 portions of Pinch of Nom's Slow Cooker Spicy Pork Stew are plated up on a blue tiled tabletop with forks to the side waiting to dig in. Each portion is served with fluffy basmati rice.

Tip 3: Store dump bags flat in the freezer

To maximise space in your freezer drawers and compartments, make sure you store your dump bags flat.

Stack with the oldest dump bags resting on top, so you’ll reach for the meals that need eating first; it’s an easy, efficient way to reduce food waste.

Dump bags being stored flat in a freezer drawer to make the most of the space.

When you’re sealing ingredients into a dump bag, press gently to guarantee any air has left the bag prior to freezing. This helps to prevent freezer burn that could cause food to lose moisture.

The meat should stay nice and juicy for pre-prepped dishes like our Slow Cooker Lamb and Lentil Stew.

Lamb and Lentil Stew - Pinch of Nom Slimming Recipes

Tip 4: Chop it, bag it, label it!

One of our top tips for preventing food waste while storing dump bags is to make sure everything is clearly labelled.

You’ll need durable, freezer-proof labels (like these ones from Amazon) to guarantee the information you’ve written is clear even after a month or two.

It’s not just important to write the name of the recipe you’ve frozen, you need to know when it was placed in the freezer too – make sure the date is nice and big on the label!

All dump bags must be used within 3 months of freezing.

A freezer bag label is being filled in with the recipe name 'Slow Cooker Sausage Casserole' and the date it's being frozen.

Imagine how gutted you’d be if the ingredients for our delicious Slow Cooker Chicken Cacciatore went to waste…

Two servings of Pinch of Nom's Chicken Cacciatore are plated up on a red and white tabletop with forks to the side waiting to tuck in.

Tip 5: Always defrost thoroughly before cooking

As always when you’re cooking with food from the freezer, you’ll want to make sure all of your ingredients are thoroughly defrosted.

Everything’s quite closely packed together inside a dump bag, so it may take a little longer than usual to be slow cooker ready.

Get yourself prepared for our Slow Cooker Beef Madras by removing what you’re planning to cook from the freezer roughly 24-36 hours before you’re turning your slow cooker on.

As this dump bag contains meat, double (and triple!) check it’s defrosted before throwing into the slow cooker to simmer…

Two silver bowls are filled with Pinch of Nom's Beef Madras, set on a blue patterned tablecloth. Each bowl is garnished with fresh green coriander and a bowl of rice is nearby for serving.

Ready, set…time to dump bag meal prep!

Rain or shine, a glass of Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference Peach and Apple Cider is delightfully refreshing. It’s even better to sip on if you’ve got a selection of slimming-friendly savoury snacks to hand, like cheesy twists or crispy sausage rolls.

Our homely Somerset Pork wouldn’t be the same without a few drops of cider. It makes for a gorgeously fruity complement to the juicy pork sausages and apple slices we’ve stirred in.

We’d recommend serving with fluffy mashed potatoes to help soak up every last drop.

A large serving spoon picks up a creamy scoop of Pinch of Nom's Somerset Pork from a large blue casserole dish.

Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference Peach & Apple Cider is available from Sainsbury’s, priced at £2.50 per bottle.

Just be sure to let it rest for 30 minutes before serving, so that it’s nice and soft by the time you dig in.

Dolmio Classics Meatballs Fusilli Pasta featured in Pinch of Nom's Weekly Pinch of Shopping with the calorie count printed above (232 calories per pack).

Dolmio’s new range of quick meals for one make those busier days feel a bit easier. We picked up the tomato pack of Dolmio Classics Meatballs Fusilli Pasta, but there are Rigatoni Bolognese Pasta and Fusilli Carbonara Pasta (among others) to try too.

Low in sugar and saturated fat, it’s handy to have on standby in the store cupboard when you need something quick and flavourful in a flash.

5. M&S Spicy Rice – 162 calories per 1/2 pack

M&S Spicy Rice featured in Pinch of Nom's Weekly Pinch of Shopping with the calorie count printed above (162 calories per 1/2 pack).

When you’ve not got a portion of our Nando’s Spicy Rice ready to serve, this M&S is a pretty good grab-and-go alternative. With colourful chopped peppers, smoky paprika and fiery chilli stirred in, it’s ideal for pairing with Peri-Peri Chicken.

From hot to medium-spicy, the great thing about making a Nando’s inspired fakeaway at home is that you can control the heat. Add a bit of green to your Portuguese-inspired plate with a portion of Chilli and Mint Peas.

Now’s your cue to dig that long-forgotten bag of petit pois out of your freezer!

A table is set with a full plate of Pinch of Nom's Chilli Mint Peas on a pale pink set of crockery with a blush pink table mat. A gold spoon waits to tuck in.

Just imagine serving a portion beside our stacked Breakfast Burgers. With homemade juicy pork patties, bacon, eggs, mushrooms and tomato, there’s no better way to kick off the weekend.

The only question left is: will you add a squeeze of red or brown sauce?

On a serving board, Pinch of Nom's slimming-friendly Breakfast Burgers are piled high, with a runny fried egg poking out from beneath the bun.

Iceland Ridiculously Crispy Garlic Butter Hash Brown Bites are available from Iceland, priced at £2.50 per bag.

7. M&S Italian Style Chicken Dogs – 108 calories per hot dog

M&S Italian Style Chicken Dogs featured in Pinch of Nom's Weekly Pinch of Shopping with the calorie count printed above (108 calories per hot dog).

With a pack of low-fat sausage handy, you’re well on your way to making a delicious, slimming-friendly meal. M&S’ Italian Style Chicken Dogs are bursting with Mediterranean goodness, with semi-dried tomatoes and dried herbs inside.

While we’ve used reduced-fat pork sausages for our Herby Sausage Orzo, there’s nothing to stop you stirring in these Italian-style bangers instead.

You’ll want to use fresh thyme, rosemary and parsley (rather than dried herbs) when cooking this one; they’ll taste more vibrant, and add a lovely splash of green to your finished dish.

A large ovenproof casserole dish is filled with Pinch of Nom's slimming-friendly Herby Sausage Orzo, served at the centre of a set table ready to begin dishing out.

M&S Italian Style Chicken Dogs are available from M&S stores and online at Ocado, priced at £5.00 for a pack of 4 hot dogs.

8. Young’s Garlic & Herb Extra Large Fish Fillets – 276 calories per ovenbaked fish fillet

Young's Garlic & Herb Extra Large Fish Fillets featured in Pinch of Nom's Weekly Pinch of Shopping with the calorie count printed above (276 calories per ovenbaked fish fillet).

While these Young’s Garlic & Herb Extra Large Fish Fillets are larger in size, they’ve stayed nice and light in calories at 276 calories per fillet. Coated in a garlicky, herby blend of breadcrumbs, you’ll get a mouthful of tender, flaky fish with a satisfying crunch.

You can take home Young’s Paprika & Pepper Extra Large Fish Fillets if you’d prefer.

Both flavours would make for an easy, slimming-friendly midweek dinner after a chocolate-filled Easter weekend.

We recently revamped one of our golden oldie fish recipes: Smoked Haddock and Spring Onion Fishcakes. They’re a must-try with our homemade chive-infused dipping sauce and a zingy squeeze of fresh lemon.

9. Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference Popcorn, Honeycomb Caramel & Vanilla Ice Cream Cones – 218 calories per ice cream

Speaking of, have you tried our Salted Caramel and Chocolate Popcorn Bites from pages 186-189 of our Enjoy cookbook?

Bound with sticky caramel, we’ve made these chocolate-covered popcorn pieces extra-delicious with a light sprinkling of sea salt on top.

A table is set with a white striped tablecloth and two blue plates, filled with Pinch of Nom's Salted Caramel and Chocolate Popcorn Bites. The chocolate and popcorn mixture has been cut into squares, and each one os drizzled with salted caramel.

M&S Extra Crunchy Marsala Chicken Bites with Mango Chutney Drizzle featured in Pinch of Nom's Weekly Pinch of Shopping with the calorie count printed above (296 calories per 1/2 pack).

If you pop to M&S this week, you’ll spot a whole new selection of ‘Extra Crunchy’ chicken tenders. They’re available in a variety of flavours, from Hot Honey to Piri Piri.

We took home the M&S Extra Crunchy Masala Chicken Bites with Mango Chutney Drizzle since we were in the mood for fakeaway flavours, and we couldn’t say no to a crispy curry-infused coating.

Was the frozen portion of Indian-Style Fried Rice from last week’s curry night also part of the decision process? Absolutely!

This is one of those batch-friendly wonders that tastes just as good (or even better) reheated – especially if you liven things up with a sprinkling of fresh coriander and a squeeze of lime.

In a takeaway-style container,Pinch of Nom's slimming-friendly Indian-Style Fried Rice is served beside a wedge of lime and a bottle of hot sauce.

M&S Extra Crunchy Marsala Chicken Bites with Mango Chutney Drizzle are available from M&S stores and online at Ocado, priced at £4.75 per pack.

NEW Aldi Super 6 Fruit and Veg Selection

We love Aldi’s fortnightly selection of fresh fruit and veggies! They choose different items for a special offer where you can pick them up for much less than the normal price.

Here’s a rundown of the recipes we’d make with this week’s Super 6 offering.

The fruit and veg selection from Aldi's Super 6, alongside their prices, featured in Pinch of Nom's Weekly Pinch of Shopping.

Carrots – 41 calories per 100g

The Easter Bunny will be thrilled that carrots are only 8p in Aldi this weekend! You can always grab a bag to turn into an easy go-to lunch like our Carrot, Orange and Thyme Soup.

We’ve added a zesty twist by including a surprise ingredient you don’t often find in soup: orange juice!

A ladle has just served three bowls of Pinch of Nom's Carrot, Orange and Thyme Soup on a table set with glasses of water, a slice of wholemeal bread and a large serving pot filled with more soup.

Garlic – 5 calories per clove

It’s always a good idea to have plenty of garlic on standby, as our blog full of healthy, slimming-friendly, garlic-loaded recipes proves.

If you’re not sure what to make, why not try one of our most-popular recipes EVER? We’re so happy our community loves our Bolognese and Garlic Swirl Pie as much as we do…

Pinch of Nom's Bolognese and Garlic Swirl Pie is served, fresh from the oven, in a large ovenproof dish on a table set with salt and pepper shakers. The garlic swirls are an eye-catching golden brown on top, evenly covering the bolognese filling.

Spring Onions – 32 calories per 100g

We always think of spring onions as ‘the fakeaway veggie!’. While they’re delicious cooked or raw tossed into salads, stir-fries, wraps and lots of different recipes, we love them best on top of an aromatic crowdpleaser like our Air Fryer Crispy Chilli Beef.

Two plates of Pinch of Nom's slimming-friendly Air Fryer Crispy Chilli Beef are served on a grey worktop.

Broccoli – 35 calories per 100g

We love the versatility of broccoli florets. Baked into pasta, chopped it into stir-fries or blended into a soup, you can always count on broc to add flavour, colour and nutrients.

Our crunchy Broccoli and Sweetcorn Fritters add something a little bit different to your meal plan for breakfast, lunch or a quick snack.

White Potatoes – 92 calories per 100g

A staple ingredient for all kinds of recipes, you can always rustle something up for dinner when you have a bag of spuds in the house.

Try something a bit different on your Easter Sunday dinner with our Stilton Roast Potatoes. The strong nuttiness of the cheese is perfect for adding a flavour-boosting twist!

Pinch of Nom's Stilton Roast Potatoes are fresh from the oven, on a silver baking tray. The potatoes are golden and crispy at the edges, covered with melted Stilton cheese, sliced spring onions and finely chopped parsley.

Cucumber is the ultimate refreshing veg for summery weather – fingers crossed we get some of that this bank holiday!
