Hey Ree, we find it’s best to brown the onions and mince before adding to the slow cooker to release the flavours and give the chilli a rich flavour but you can skip this step if you prefer. We have a slow cooker conversion guide HERE which has a time conversion chart so if you are cooking on low instead of high it will suggest the timing needed. Hope that helps!
