In reply to Claire. Hey Claire, sorry to hear you've had a little trouble with this recipe. Mix the cornflour with cold water into a slurry then add to the pan it should be just warm then bring the mixture to the boil with the cornflour already added this should stop any lumps forming. The sauce tastes amazing but I’m not sure what I did wrong. After adding the cornflour slurry it almost turned into gelatine & had lumps all throughout, so I ended up having to strain it through a sieve. Any ideas? Was the sauce too hot when I added the slurry, do you think? X
